What is our background?
The history of CHP is quite unique and interesting; created by a young Mike Mason way back in April 2000, CHP was an idea in the making! Back at a point in time when the name of the program was not known as CHP. Fast forward to September 2006; Mike Mason was hanging with friends which developed into a group that started a radio station.
Approximately two months later the switch was flipped on Club Radio, KLBE-LP 100.7 FM in Bismarck, North Dakota and "The Clubhouse Party" was soon to follow and debut on Club Radio and continued to air until March 2007.
The Clubhouse Party, in March 2007, went through a name change and the "The" was dropped; resulting in Clubhouse Party is on the air! Only two months later CHP was born
After March 2007, the show was renamed! It was decided that the “The” would be dropped from the name; therefore, Clubhouse Party was on the air! It only took an additional two months for the program to go through an additional name change. In April of 2008 CHP was playing "The Hottest Music on the Planet" on Teen Challenge Radio out of Brockton, Massachussets!
During September of 2008, CHP went into re-run mode as the show went through some more changes. CHP re-debuted in October 2008 with an Interview between Mike Mason and Josh Havens (lead vocalists for "The Afters")
April 2009 was a time of set-back for the program. The offices and computers had been broke into and everything for the show went missing. This terrible event only led to another outstanding improvement of CHP! "Today's Real Hits" started taking over the airwaves.
What are "Today's Real Hits?" It is any song, from any artist that contains lyrics that relay a positive message or theme!
…and now the journey continues! Thanks for being a fan of CHP!
